Where a Little of Your Time May Mean a Lifetime to a Child
How One Person Can Make a Difference...Volunteer Opportunities
You can make a positive impact in the life of a child. From being matched with a young friend to sharing Partners mentoring objectives with others, there are many ways you can help Partners continue to expand our award-winning program throughout Boulder County. We welcome volunteers to fill all of the following roles:
Calwood Outing

One-to-One Mentor (Senior Partner)
Partners Mentoring Program always needs adult volunteers to become mentors to waiting kids. These mentors must be able to spend 3 hours per week with an at-risk, Boulder or Broomfield County youth for a year. Being a mentor means making a difference - in a child's life, in your life, and in the community. By being their friend and role model, you'll help to build their self-esteem, self-respect, and sense of responsibility, not to mention a rewarding relationship for yourself. Share experiences, learn new things together, assist with schoolwork and attend Partners activities and lifeskill workshops. Volunteers must complete a thorough background screening.

Waiting Youth Volunteer
Chaperone an at-risk youth waiting for a One-to-One mentor at Partners sponsored monthly activities and workshops and special events. This is a good way to try out being a mentor or get involved in our program without having to commit a full year.

Elder Mentor (Sage-ing Volunteer)
This is an intergenerational Partnership for Senior citizens, where a Senior citizen volunteers to meet at least once a month with an ongoing One-to-One Partnership.

Special Projects Volunteer
From time to time (and especially around our annual August fundraiser) we need help with mailings, posting flyers, making phone calls, and various other odd jobs. If you're time is limited, but you think you could pitch in this way, give us a call.
